Last Minute Shopping: Go Local for a Taste of Christmas Past

You may see neighbors and friends out at the same shops and those spontaneous encounters bring a sense of togetherness. And you won’t see hot chocolate stands, Christmas carolers, or live Santa Claus sightings online.

Though shopping locally may take more effort, it also carries more heart. Part of the joy is the challenge of finding something special, whether it’s a dollhouse, a cozy sweater, or an interesting book on Mohawk Valley history.
