Condos are unique. We’ll help you find the right amount of coverage. Serving Utica and all of Central New York.
Condominium insurance policies cover a range of items, including personal property and liability, as well as additions, alterations, and improvements. According to your condo association agreement, these improvements and modifications are your responsibility.
Along with condo insurance, you can purchase optional loss assessment coverage that will protect you against certain regulations that the association requires. For instance, you would be compensated for additional living expenses should you need to vacate your condo due to a covered loss.

What Does Condo Insurance Cover?
Condo insurance not only provides coverage for your personal property but also offers additional options such as Full-Value Personal Property coverage. If you choose to opt in for this type of coverage, it’ll only cost you a small fee but will ensure that you’re fully reimbursed if something were to happen to your belongings. This coverage will protect the original value of your property, whether or not the cost has depreciated.
If you’ve replaced the cabinets or put in hardwood floors, condo building item coverage protects these investments. Be sure to consult your HOA committee to determine what the association policy covers and what you are responsible for if you choose to make these upgrades. If common areas are damaged, your condo association may levy assessments against all the owners to pay the deductible on their association policy.
Various limits of loss assessment coverage are also available. Be sure to review the HOA agreement or consult with the association to determine the potential for such assessments.
Your condo insurance policy protects you and your family members against bodily injury and property damage liability claims and any litigation that may result subject to the limits you select.
In addition, you can select medical payments coverage which will pay for medical expenses incurred by a visitor who is injured at your residence regardless of who may be atfault. Various limits are available upon your choosing.
