After Steve graduated from Mohawk Valley Community College in 1982 and SUNY Brockport in 1984, he started his insurance career at DeAngelo & Associates. He then became a producer specializing in Commercial Lines at Alexander & Alexander, Inc. in Utica. He joined Gary Scalzo at Smith, Treiber, and Wittig, Inc. in 1989 and started Scalzo, Zogby & Wittig, Inc. with Gary in 1992.
Steve is a member of the board of the Oneida County Industrial Development Agency, a board member of the Mohawk Valley Community College Foundation, President of the board of CNYHHN, Inc., an organization that provides care management services in 7 counties, and is on the agents’ advisory board of the Adirondack Insurance Exchange. He is past Chair of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York.
Steve grew up in Utica and then moved to New Hartford just before college. He still lives in New Hartford with his wife, Noreen, and three sons. He enjoys golf, exercise and 5:30 a.m. spin classes at Paragon Athletic Club.
